My interest, in Martial Arts stemmed from an early age and as a teenager, I knew it was a pathway I would follow throughout my life. Over the years I have become increasingly unhappy with the varying standards and obsessive controls in Martial Arts. To address these problems I created a new style, and in October 2000, The Budo Foundation was born. The standards of the school are high, due to the student's personal dedication and desire to improve and grow. My aim is not to set restrictions or seek control, but enable individuals to open their eyes to see the real person within. Hence Budo's motto: `Clear vision can only be seen through enlightened eyes.' I look forward to being your guide and companion on this new journey. `I am fortunate to feel happy and content with my life and believe this stems from all I have learnt from martial arts and it's philosophies over the many years. We can all follow our path, but we need to take control of it's direction, for without this, we can never fully appreciate the footprints we make. The knowledge and experience I have gained enables me to help you find your own pathway and guide you on your journey to your own contentment.' |
